Tilery - 3

Posted by Veronique (France-and-, Switzerland) on 28 November 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Difficult to render the dimension of this factory as it's wedged between houses-railway-road

I very often go by this disused tilery but I never have time to stop the car. Until yesterday. A perfect day with the sun going to bed and enhancing the brick red. I discovered astounded the hidden side, the one you don't see from the main road. I hope you'll like it as much as I did. It's a very aesthetic old factory

Bon week end,

Stunning shot of a beautiful old building Veronique! I would only hope that it is preserved and put to another use so that it is not lost....... ;-)

@Eric Cousineau: I hope so...it was mentioned in an article a project for something like a cinema center but as far as I could see it is used for the firemen's exercises.... warm light perfected paired with warm colors of the building - i think you did a wonderful job framing this image - simply brilliant!

@dabbler: thank you :-) I was ashamed not to be able to have the 4 roofs but it's my lazy side... I couldn't be bothered to go back to the car to fetch the other lens.......not very serious I admit

My first thought was that it was a Lego building, but I'm glad I stopped to see what it really is.
Your capture was well worth your stop!

This is stunning especially in this fine light. It's such a wonderfully decorated building.
